Give thanks for one kind man

There is this chinese saying about giving coal in a snow storm and people would really be grateful for that right? The warmth that it would bring to a person heart and of course the physical warmth.

For this post, I do not know how to properly worded it, but it just keep lingering in my mind so much so that I am stopping my quiet time for a while to write this. I believe it might be the spirit prompting me and this post might do someone really some good out there.

He is a church friend that would send messages to folks around him from time to time. It might or might not be the words that he has written, but it is the thought that counts. The message which he send is very powerful and stirring especially if you are not feeling that good emotionally, but it is the "sending" that really touches me.

It is really one thing to call someone to say "hi, how are you" and quite another to actually send a message of encouragement and a little prayer for the person which you are sending it to.

This is the message that he had send:


"Dear heavenly father, the gentleman reading this is handsome, cool and strong and you love him. Help him live his life to the fullest. Please promote him spiritually and cause him to excel above his expectations. Help him shine in the darkest places where it is impossible to love. Protect him at all times, lift him up when he needs you the most and let him know when he walks with you, he will always be safe. Amen. God always loves you because you are his child, so enjoy the day that he has made for you"

Hope it would encouraged you as much as it did for me. The fact is, this is the day that the lord has made for you -so why not enjoyed it. The rest is really just the "bells and whistles".

There is a season and there is a reason for everything. I was a christian by birth but was so far from him. I attended Sunday and read doctrines and by the time I was twelve I know really deep stuff such as the ranking of angels but I know nothing about him.

I was a christian for so many years, attending church for so many Sundays but it was not a family member, nor a old church mate but a friend from my wife church that send an encouraging message about the love of God.

God really works in mysterious ways. If you are wondering where he is, with all your troubles and issues that seems insurmountable, he is there. If you cannot feel him or think he is very far away, note that it is by no chance that this post was written and it is by no mere coincidence that you manage to read this post.

This post was written for you.

I give thanks for a kind man, for with his message, I know that there are people that care, similarly no matter how bad your situation is -there would be a person that would care to listen to you and assist you in his or her best ability.

May his peace be with you and his joy be always in you.

Give thanks for the better life...

Have you ever wonder what you are working for or why are you working so hard? Well, it is mainly for this concept know as "better life". Isn't it true that you need to work more than 10 hours so that you can have a better life, or maybe you need to be away from your family so that they can get a better life.

I too was working hard and trying to inch towards a better life just like everyone else and at times it can get a little discouraging. At times, "better life" just seems to be so far away.

However, as I was thinking about it, the spirit comfort me in a way so reassuringly that I thought it would be great to note down his thought for anyone that is going through this situation similar to mine.

It is good to be working hard and striving towards providing for the family, more than anything else, that would be part of our ministry in this earthly life. However, when you get discouraged that life isn't getting better, do not be down.

It all depends on your concept of what is better, basically it is about having more things. The fact is the sun is still shining on you warmly in the morning, the birds are still chirping and if you are observant enough, at times you can even be rewarded with a couple of rainbows splashing past the beautiful sky.

This is the idea that was impressed upon me as I walked towards my working place thinking about how to better my business so that I can get to the "better life". And this is really an idea to draw strength from.

He always provides and we should be thankful for it. If you are not praising him for the sun and the birds which are so beautiful and are given to you, what makes you so sure that you would give him thanks for the better life?

In fact, you might not give him thanks probably because you would missed this "better life" as you keep working and striving towards the whole concept of "better life".

So, stop and look at your surrounding and marvel at the things that was given to you, it does not come easy. It is really good to be appreciative. Do you know how many people was behind a simple meal at Mac Donalds? Probably close to thousands of people has to come together just to make that meal possible:-

There are the people that serves you, the people that prepare the burger, the person that fry the fries, the person that delivers these products to the store, then there are the folks that "make" the meat patties and the bun, we also do not want to forget about the people that "make" the drinks, and what about the people that produce the paper to wrap the burgers, the cups to hold the drinks, then there are the people that "make" the side ingredients such as the lettuce, the mustard, the chilli sauce and so on.

The fact is, I can go on and on, this is to show you a simple thing to you might not actually be that simple. So, go ahead and give thanks and have a great time thanking our Jehova Jireh today!:)

Give thanks for this love story:

Recently, I watch this movie Suspect X and while the plot is superb, it is the love story that really leave an impact on me. I loves to read love story and marvel when there are acts of love done in sacrifice.

I thought it is very noble to sacrifice for the one you love. But, the suspect x really went one step further. He is not related to the lady, they are not in a relationship, the fact is, they are not even what you would call good friend.

He simply loves her and would go to great length to help her. Well, the story has it that he admit a crime on her behalf and construct all the evidence in such a manner to prove that he is the one doing the crime instead of her.

Can you even beging to imagine the love that he has for her? He demands nothing, did everything for her, even though he is going to die because of this, and he get nothing out of this -pretty stirring right?

Just as I was thinking about this -something struck me? I know of someone that did exactly the same thing and more. His name is Jesus.

When he come to earth to bear our sins, did he asked us to do anything? Nothing. When he died for us, did he demand anything from us? Nothing. Even now, that the ultimate sacrifice has been made, he still did not make any demand for himself.

But he asked you to love him because he wants you to have eternal life, to be blessed and to have good stuff such as peace and joy. He did things so that we would be happy, it was never about him in the first place.

Many years ago, someone asked me what is unconditional love -I told her Jesus, because that is what I was taught in Sunday School. But, having seen the way the man love the women, I sort of understand unconditional love, and can imagine the hurt when people turn away from Jesus.

Now, Jesus is the same man that is part of the trinity that created the world, that can bring in the flood, part a sea and blast fire from heaven. If he wants something, can he not just get it? Yet, he did it his way, by showing us that he first love us, waiting for us to return his love.

Many sad things are reported on the papers today and around the world -it grieves us. And we are all concern about what would happen to us -do not worry. If he loves you enough to die for the sins you have, long before you came, would be not ensure that you would be fed, clothed and have a house over your head?

His love is so much more than what he would provides for you. If you chanced upon this post and do not yet know him -you might want to talk to him. Just talk as you would to him and pour your heart out to him. End your prayer with a amen and your prayer would be answer.

He works in mysterious way and in his own timing, but he is a prayer answering God, that is part of his love...

Give thanks for keeping quiet

Moving forward, I do not know how many things I would be giving thanks for, but I do pray that people that chanced upon this blog can identify with it, and it can assist in whatever situation that they are in, thus I prayed that I can give thanks for all situation!

For this particular post I would like to give thanks for being quiet. It is not easy to be quiet at times especially with people that you love, you tend to make more noise, be more nosey in their affairs.

And many a time, it can cause grieve. Take last night for example, I was not happy with certain arrangement that are under going, but I kept my peace. As it turns out, the arrangement did not go through and I did not even have to intefer.

Imagine if I would have make some comments, it might have lead to some unhappiness and in the end when this thing does not even come true, what a waste of time and effort.

I know that we usually give thanks for things that happen to us, me too! But, I think at times we should give thanks for things that did not take place. One example is the situation above, giving thanks for keeping quiet so that there is no happiness.

So, what is the situation out there for you pal? It is tough? The going is not easy huh? Well, think about it, if you are some how able to read this, that means some where along the time you have some extra time, and for that -Give thanks!

I tried it and when we give thanks, things just start to get better. I do not know if it is mental mindset or really gets better, but the most important thing is we are happier right? It is such a dampen to go through the day with a frown, perk up if you are reading this, because you are reading this.
